The ring gives him the power to control anyone to do exactly what he wants. And he uses its power to get his revenge on both his wife and ex-wife. He forces both of them to indulge his foot fetish and to behave like lapdogs at his feet. In addition, he forces his ex-wife to soak herself with a hose while watering her garden and leaves her wondering what happened. And then he commands both of them to commit suicide.
